Kintsugi

Kintsugi is the Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery pieces using an adhesive known as urushi (漆) lacquer, which is dusted with powdered gold. This art form stems beyond its craftsmanship as the philosophy behind Kintsugi is just as significant. Kintsugi is also a cultural philosophy as it emphasizes the beauty in repairing a broken item, and embracing the history behind it. This Japanese art form should be honoured and celebrated in all its glory!
